These sensors are designed for seamless integration into packaging and logistics systems, enabling digital connectivity through RFID and NFC for full compatibility with IoT platforms.

Minimizing Food Waste
Food waste is a global crisis, with approximately 1/3 of all food produced worldwide lost or wasted each year. This amounts to about 1.3 billion tons of food, valued at nearly $1 trillion USD globally. In North America alone, 170 million tons of food are wasted annually, representing a massive inefficiency in the food supply chain.
Early recalls result in significant waste for both producers and retailers, as products are often removed from the supply chain before they reach their full shelf life. This early removal leads to the disposal of perfectly safe food, causing unnecessary financial losses.
In addition, traditional expiration dates are often misleading, contributing to substantial food waste. These labels do not accurately reflect the true freshness of the product, causing retailers and consumers to discard food that is still perfectly edible.
